The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.

Friday 56: The Fall of Rain by Renee Vincent

Well here I am again, promoting my good friend Renee Vincent. I just can't help it. The woman is so damn good. So you will have to bare with me while I indulge. I've posted the rules for Friday 56 but really, I will be posting one of my favorite scenes from 'The Fall of Rain'

Rules:

* Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
* Turn to page 56.
* Post any sentence from that page (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog. (If you do not have your own blog) post it in the comments section of this blog.
* Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

He smiled. "In a hurry to go somewhere?"

Backing up, she collected her thoughts. "Yeah, I should go. To my B&B , I mean." A nervous laugh staggered out."I haven't even slept in the bed I've paid for."

He stepped forward, blocking her only means of escape. "Whether you sleep there or not, it's the same price."

"I know, but I need a shower and-"

"I've got a shower," he interrupted, taking another step toward her until he had her backed against the barn wall. He braced his arm above her head and leaned casually on one hip. "A shower large enough for two."

I love her books and own them all - except the new one. Gotta wait until after Christmas, though!

The rules actually changed 56 weeks ago when I took over the meme, but it's all good.

Stacy, I am reading the last one now and God help me, I am in love with the hero already! LOL

I didn't think he could surpass the other two books but well SURPRISE!

I think Renee is on a blog tour, you may be able to get a free giveaway. Just sign up for her newsletter.

LOL!! Freda! *hugs* You crack me up. I seem to not follow that 56 rule and break it all the time.

Hee-hee.

Oh Lizzie, I love that scene too! It was so cool to read that again and remember when I was creating it. Such an odd feeling to read something from so long ago...it's almost like I forgot what I wrote. I think I might have to go back and read this one again - and for pure pleasure instead of editing and revision.

What can I say....you are such a great friend to have done this Friday 56 about The Fall of Rain AND going above and beyond the rules *snicker* to post some promo about the rest of my books. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you!!!

And to Stacy... thank you for purchasing all my books! I am so pleased to know you have them all and enjoyed them.
Let me know what you think of The Fall of Rain when you get around to it.
Merry Christmas!!!

This scene and many others gave me goosebumps but I do know what you mean. I have looked at my own WIP in amazement and thought, "God, did I write that?" Sometimes not with the awe that is intended. LOL

It is always a pleasure to promote you my dear friend.
